Morsi, Judges To Cooperate On Judiciary Law Changes

President Mohamed Morsi will be personally responsible for controversial proposed amendments to Egypt’s judicial authority law after holding scheduled talks with heads of judicial agencies, the presidency announced on Sunday.

Proposed amendments to the law have prompted considerable controversy of late, with many judges voicing opposition to the bill, which was initially tabled by Islamist MPs.
