Health minister launches 2nd phase of cancer early detection initiative

Egypt’s Health Minister, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar inaugurated the second phase of the presidential initiative for the early detection of cancer.

According to Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, a spokesman for the Health Ministry, the screening will be free of charge in nine governorates: Cairo, Menufiya, the Red Sea, Kafr el Sheikh, Sohag, Ismailia, Beni Sweif, North Sinai, and Luxor.

Moreover, the initiative is directed towards citizens aged 18 years old and up, the spokesperson added.

The Health Ministry is eager to answer any questions the public may have about the program by offering all the information they require over its hotline, 15335, or on its official website.
