Egypt’s annual headline inflation rose to 35.8 percent in October, Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) stated in a press release on Saturday.
This comes in opposition to 16.3 percent during the same month last year.
Continuing inflation was driven by the 71.7 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in the food and beverage segment last October.
This came as a result of the increasing food prices recently.
It is noteworthy that Egypt’s annual headline inflation climbed to 38 percent in September, compared to 15 percent in the same month last year.
