Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) has signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding with Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) in the field of investment promotion.
The MoU was signed at the InvestHK Head Office by Acting Director-General of Investment Promotion at InvestHK, Jimmy Chiang and CEO of GAFI, Hossam Heiba.
The MOU focuses on sharing information regarding the business environment, investment opportunities and promotion of foreign investments as well as encouraging local companies in setting up or expanding their businesses within the other signing county,as the statement read.
“The MOU marks a new milestone between Hong Kong and Egypt in terms of mutual investment promotion exchanges.” said Chiang.
For his part Heiba stated: “The GAFI has signed an MOU with its counterpart InvestHK to encourage bilateral economic co-operation between Egypt and Hong Kong.”
