1.6 mln Incoming Tourists during Jan and Feb

Ministry of Tourism indicators showed an increase in numbers of incoming tourism to Egypt during January and February that reached 1.6 million tourists in return for 1.4 million tourists last year; the growth rate reached 15%.  

The two cities Sharm Al Sheikh and Hurghada came first to receive the incoming tourism; while Luxor and Aswan came after.

The occupancy rate of Red Sea and South Sinai’s hotels was about 50% to 60%, while the rate in Luxor and Aswan’s hotels was from 25% to 30%
