World Bank’s Egypt investments hit $6.7 billion – ministry statement

World Bank Group’s current investment portfolio in Egypt rose to $6.7 billion through 16 projects, according to a statement released by Egyptian Ministry of Investment on Wednesday.

These remarks were made after a meeting held in Washington by Egyptian Investment Minister Sahar Nasr with Mirza Hassan, Dean of the Board of Executive Directors at World Bank, and Ragui El-Etreby, an Egyptian national, serves as an Alternate Executive at the Board of the World Bank Group. The meeting was also attended by David Robert Malpass, who serves as Under Secretary of the American Treasury for International Affairs.
