Egypt’s Deputy Housing Minister Randa el Menshawi said Monday that a delegation from the World Bank visited Egypt and assessed works carried out as part of sustainable sewage services in rural areas.
The first phase of the programme is being funded by a WB loan worth $550 million, Menshawi said.
The second phase will be funded through a 300-million-dollar loan, she added.
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank will allocate another $300 million for the programme.
The first phase of the programme includes sewage services in 150 villages in the governorates of Daqahliya, Sharqiya, and Behaira.
