Egypt are close to operate five infrastructure projects – financed by the World Bank Group (WB) – in Dakahlia and Beheira governorates within a timeframe of 18-month maximum.
The five projects are being executed by the construction company Al-Abd, at a total cost worth more than 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($62.6 million), announced its managing director Said Fattouh on Monday.
The works will include the establishment of a number of drinking water stations as well as sanitation lines, Fattouh added.
“We (Al-Abd) are seeking to carry out a new bundle of drinking water networks in the governorate within the next period in coordination with the new cities agencies and the National Authority for Potable Water and Sewage,” he said.
The Egyptian company also targets business volume worth 1 billion pounds within the upcoming period, Fatthouh added.
