Mobile network operator Vodafone Egypt posted a 13.6 percent growth year-on-year in revenues to 6.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($120.8 million) during the first quarter of financial year 2019/2020.
Earlier, revenues stood at 5.5 billion pounds during the first quarter of financial year 2018/2019.
The company’s financial year runs from April to the end of March of the following year.
The number of subscribers using Vodafone Egypt’s network reached around 39.3 million, while prepaid line users captured 90 percent share out of the 39.3 million, according to the financial statements on Saturday.
The company’s fixed broadband internet subscribers recorded about 567,000 during the first quarter of the current financial year, besides 127,000 subscribers during the first three months of the year.
