Three tombs in the Valley of the Kings reopened on Sunday after extensive restoration works. The three tombs used to be burial places of Ramses IX, Seti II, and Siptah.
The tomb of Ramses IX is known for being an archaeological masterpiece that features detailed paintings and hieroglyphics.
Restoration efforts will now head to the tombs of Ramses III and Ramses VII.
The Supreme Council of Antiquities launched the restoration project to maintain ancient sites in the Valley of the Kings. The efforts target maintaining the tombs’ delicate paintwork and structural integrity.
