On Thursday, the US dollar’s exchange rate steadied at EGP 6.9262 for buying and EGP 6.9563 for selling coinciding with Banks in Egypt announcement to halt operations on the occasion of Sinai Liberation Day.
Saudi riyal also remained with no change at EGP 1.8417 for buying and EGP 1.9337 for selling. The same with the UAE dirham which steadied at EGP 1.8842 for buying and EGP 1.9582 for selling.
For the foreign currencies, Euro, pound sterling and yen rose; while Swiss franc fell on Thursday.
Euro increased to EGP 8.9913 for buying and EGP 9.3939 for selling, opposed to Wednesday’s levels of EGP 8.9851 for buying and EGP 9.386 for selling.
Pound sterling’s price also surged to EGP 10.5479 for buying and EGP 11.0205 for selling, compared to Wednesday’s levels of EGP 10.5396 for buying and EGP 11.0104 for selling.
Additionally, the Japanese yen’s price inched up as the ¥100 hit on Thursday EGP 6.9564 for buying and EGP 7.2648 for selling, opposed to Wednesday’s levels of EGP 6.9292 for buying and EGP 7.2349 for selling.
Meanwhile, Swiss franc dropped to EGP 7.2736 for buying and EGP 7.6042 for selling, opposed to Wednesday’s levels of EGP 7.2759 for buying and EGP 7.6058 for selling.
For the Arab currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar climbed to EGP 24.1139 for buying and EGP 25.0261 for selling, compared to Wednesday’s EGP 24.1114 for buying and EGP 25.0235 for selling.
