The volume of trade exchange between Cairo and Kiev stood at US$3 billion in 2014, Egyptian minister of investment Ashraf Salman said Thursday.
The minister stated that gas giant, Naftogaz is one of the biggest Ukrainian firms that have presence in Egypt, and seek to boost the investment ties between the two countries.
The minister’s remarks made following his meeting with Ukraine’s ambassador to Egypt, Hennadii Latii. The two parties tackled the Ukrainian – Egyptian cooperation in the investment sphere.
From his part, ambassador Latii asserted that his country targets boosting the volume of tourism exchange with Egypt in the coming period.
At present, there are promising opportunities for Ukrainian companies to enter the Egyptian market, including using possibilities of the existing Free Zones, Latii added.
