UK Envoy Eyes Making Investments in Egypt Market after Retirement

UK ambassador to Egypt James Watt reveals keenness to make investments in the Egyptian market after he officially ends his tenure by the end of this month.

On the sidelines of a retirement bash thrown for him on Thursday, Watt referred that he dedicated some of wealth for upcoming investments in Egypt.

The UK official further said he would cooperate with local and foreign investors so as to make more investments in the North African country’s market.

Meanwhile, the UK Secretary of Business Lord Ian Livingston is expected to visit Egypt in October accompanied by a delegation of investors and business officials for 4 days starting from October 12th until 15th.

The visit comes in response to an invitation extended by the association to the senior British official who confirmed his attendance with 25 businessmen in his company.

The British delegation has real will to carry out investments in Egypt after the success of Egypt’s future road map, focusing on investment in the fields of gas, petroleum, education, electronic and complementary industries.
