A high-level delegation representing the British Ministry of Defence and some officials is visiting Egypt next Saturday to take part in the country’s first international defence exhibition, said UK ambassador to Cairo Geoffrey Adams on Wednesday.
Egypt Defence Expo or EDEX 2018 will bring together key defence and security players from the region and across the world. Over 300 international defence & security manufacturers are expected to take part as exhibitors and over 10000 visitors are projected to attend the three-day exhibition.
The event will bring the international defence industry to Egypt to demonstrate their capabilities and also offer the Egyptian military production companies a platform to showcase their equipment and services to other militaries from around the world.
The delegation will also include UK education officials due to meet with Egyptian minister of education to explore various opportunities to boost cooperation in educational projects and programmes, Adams said.
Adams made his remarks during a meeting in London with the Egyptian door knock mission visiting the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) and the Egyptian British Business Council.
