Turkish Council Discusses Joint Relations With Egypt

The Egyptian-Turkish Business Council will convene an urgent meeting today at the headquarters of Egyptian Businessmen Association (EBA) in the presence of some Turkish investors work in Egypt.

The meeting will discuss the current conditions of the Egyptian Turkish relations and to deal with the expectant influences after deposing Islamist President Mohamed Morsi and as well as falling the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, which was strongly backed by the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The later has recently demanded the release of the ousted Egyptian president and restoring his legitimacy. So Egypt’s presidential institution considered these statements as unacceptable interference in Egypt.

Adel Lamey, Head of the Egyptian side, will top the meeting. The Business Council will take part in the conference of the companies operating in the electricity, water, natural gas sectors.
