Tunisia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Maritime Fisheries reported on Monday that it aims to produce about 250,000 tons of olive oil annually by 2035, as part of its strategy to improve olive value chains under climate change.
The strategy seeks to export about 200,000 tons of olive oil annually and to ensure 50,000 tons of internal consumption, in addition to improving production and quality requirements, through the renewal of pyramid olive cultivation.
