Egypt and Tunisia are planning to increase volume of trade exchange to US$500 million in the coming period, Egyptian ambassador to Tunisia Ayman Mousharafa said Saturday.
In 2014, the volume of trade exchange between Cairo and Tunis reached US$317 million.
Ambassador Mousharafa further said the plan to boost the volume of trade exchange between the two countries is part of the Tunisian-Egyptian joint committee’s agenda, which will also discuss methods to remove trade obstacles.
The Tunisian-Algerian joint committee is set to take place in Tunisia on September 8, 2015 to be headed by Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and his Tunisian counterpart Habib Essid.
