TotalEnergies and Airbus have signed a strategic partnership agreement under which the French energy company will provide the aircraft manufacturer with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to meet more than half of its needs in Europe.
According to a statement from TotalEnergies, the partnership intends to help lower CO2 emissions in the aviation industry as part of a strategy to attain net carbon neutrality by 2050.
Moreover, When compared to their fossil fuel equivalent, TotalEnergies’ SAF can cut CO2 emissions by up to 90 per cent throughout their lifecycle.
