The Egyptian Economic Conference 2022 (EEC 2022) is taking place amid one of the “worst global economic crises in 80 years,” said Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Sunday.

Speaking at the EEC 2022, Madbouly said Egypt is among the most affected countries by the global economic crisis, and “establishing a road map for the economy requires recognising the challenges we face,”

The three-day conference is taking place in the New Administrative Capital east of Cairo in the presence of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

The EEC 2022 includes several sessions according to three main tracks; macroeconomic policies, empowering the private sector, and drawing up a roadmap for the Egyptian economic priorities in the coming stage.
