Telecom Egypt signed on Wednesday a deal with Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to establish a joint training centre and innovation lab for young people.
The deal seeks to create an attractive working environment for youth and to support their research needs and apply artificial intelligence solutions in robotics.
The deal comes as part of the government’s initiative to establish creative development and youth entrepreneurship centres and support scientific research in communications and information technology.
TE Managing Director and CEO Adel Hamed and head of the Global Customer Unit and head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia and Egypt Mathias Johansson signed the agreement.
