The head of Egyptian Tax Authority Emad Sami said on Wednesday 115.9 billion pounds in tax revenues were collected in the first quarter of financial year 2018/19, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
In a meeting with the members of the Planning and Budget Committee at the House of the Representatives, Sami also said there was an increase of 8 billion pounds in tax revenues in the first quarter of financial year 2018/2019, compared to the same period the previous year.
Sami added that the current tax revenues are divided into 48.8 billion pounds from income taxes and 67.1 billion pounds from the value-added tax.
