Dr Magdy Wasfy, General Director of Support in the Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, said that the diesel shortage rate reached 25%, although the quantity, which is being injected daily, is stable.
He elaborated that the Ministry of Supply will cooperate with the Ministry of Petroleum to resolve this crisis, whereas the quantity of solar that injects daily needs to be increased from 36.000 tons to 40.000 tons. This quantity will meet the market’s needs. He added the diesel shortage crisis is being resolved, as the queues, waiting for diesel, are getting less; referring that there are 3 ships with diesel entered Alexandria port.
On the other hand, a source in the Ministry of Supply said the ministry will hold a meeting a meeting next Tuesday with the Petroleum Division to find a solution for the crisis.
