Egypt has signed Thursday a memorandum of understanding with Spain-based Talgo Company, one of the largest European companies in the field of high-speed trains.
Talgo will cooperate with the Egyptian National Railways in establishment of a plant for integrated mobile units and new lines of high-speed trains in Egypt.
In the presence of Egypt’s Transport Minister Saad El-Geyoushi, Ahmed Hamed – Chairman of the Egyptian National Railways; and Carlos Palacio Oriol, Chairman of Talgo Company, have signed the MoU in Cairo.
Patentes Talgo S.L. (TALGO) is specialized in the following activities: Design and manufacturing of regional, intercity, long distance, high speed and very high speed trains, passenger coaches and locomotives; Design, manufacturing and after-sales services of maintenance equipment; Integral maintenance services for railway operators worldwide.
