Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Thursday that his administration had executed 11,000 national projects worth 2 trillion Egyptian pounds ($112.8 million) during the past four years, with an average of three projects a day.
Sisi further made his remarks at Story of a Nation event, which started Wednesday evening and continued for three days, was held at the military-owned Al Masah Hotel in the county’s new administrative capital city.
On 18 November 2017, the president inaugurated the Middle East’s largest fish farm project in the country’s Kafr El-Sheikh governorate.
The military-owned fish farm was established in cooperation with China’s Evergreen Company following an agreement in July 2015, on a space of 2,750 feddans, at total cost of 1.7 billion pounds.
Sisi inaugurated the project’s first phase over 4,000. The first phase has a yearly fish and shrimp production capacity of 3,000 and 2,000 tonnes.
