Procter and Gamble – Egypt recorded exports worth around EGP 515 million (US$ 67.4), to capture 46% of total Egyptian exports of detergents and air refresher products at end of 2014.
According to the latest report issued by Egyptian Chemical Export Council (CEC), Galaxy Chemicals Egypt has ranked second with exports valued at EGP 247.6 million, followed by the International Company for Investment and Development with EGP 77.7 million.
Fourth, the exports of Henkel Port Said Company for Detergents & Chemical Industries registered EGP 75.5 million; while Arma Soap & Detergents (ASD) came fifth attaining exports of EGP 55.3 million.
Egyptian exports in sector of detergent and air refresher had reached EGP 1.3 billion in 2014, 20% up from EGP 1.2 billion in 2013, the report revealed.
Moreover, the report said the list of top importing countries of Egyptian detergents and air refresher products includes Kenya, which had the lion’s share of 46% to reach EGP 232.3 million. Lebanon comes in the second place, attaining exports of EGP 157.7 million, then Libya with EGP 117.4 million, and Turkey with EGP 109 million.
