The total volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Poland reached US$500 million in 2015, a board member of Egypt’s General Committee of Exports at Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC).

Abdel Hamid Amer stated Monday that the committee targets boosting mutual trade exchange to around $1 billion by 2017 through executing the ambitious programmes that the Egyptian Commercial Service Office in Poland designed.

The official added that an Egyptian mission is set to take part in European Economic Congress (EEC) on 18-20 May with the participation of 50 states to discuss exporting opportunities there.

EEC is the most important economic event in Central Europe that will maintain its proven formula of a three-day series of debates attended by several thousand guests from European countries, Asia and Africa.

Amer noted that Egyptian Trade minister Tarek Qabil is expected to take part in the conference and sign a number of trade agreement.

He clarified that Polish businessmen would be invited to visit Egypt to introduce Egyptian products to them in order to be exported to Poland.
