PM Beblawi Inaugurates Suez Canal Development Project

Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi and Head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish held an international press conference in Ismailia on Monday to announce the inauguration of the Suez Canal development project.

They will also choose the international consulting firm that will conduct the blueprint of the project.

A number of ministers and governors of Ismailia, Port Said, Suez and Suez Sinai have attended the conference.

For his part, Mamish said that the legislation of the project would be drafted by the Suez Canal Authority and the Minister of Justice. He added that such legislation would aim at boosting investment.
