Petrochemicals projects are lucrative source of dollar for Egypt due to the products exported outside, Petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla stated Saturday.
He made these remarks during his visit to current and under-construction petrochemicals projects in Alexandria governorate.
The visit comes among the framework of ministry’s care for such projects that represent the added value industry and the perfect usage of natural resources.
The purpose of those vital projects is to encourage workers to exert more efforts in addition to executing the projects according to their planned schedules to be added to production map.
El-Molla stated that petrochemical projects target boosting the capacity and enhancing state’s economy since their products are representing many needs of small and medium-sized industries.
The minister also reviewed the developmental projects that have been done in Egyptian Petrochemicals Company in addition to The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company’s complex for producing ethylene and its derivatives.
The complex is considered as the most modern petrochemicals project whose final phases are currently being finished.
