Egypt-based joint-venture company Belayim Petroleum – Petrobel has established a dual-fuel power plant with total capacity of 65 megawatts so as to meet the company’s energy needs, its chairman Atef Hassan announced Saturday.
In a statement, Hassan said the plant is to serve the company’s production facilities, administrative buildings, workshops, and the residential camps.
Petrobel is planning to increase its production rates during 2016, the official added.
In 1978 Belayim Petroleum Company Petrobel has been established in accordance with the investment law No. 16 of 1978. PETROBEL is one of the state-run Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation companies jointly owned by Italian energy firm Eni. Petrobel main activities are exploration, and development of oil and gas fields and the production of oil, gas and condensates.
