Egypt’s largest carpet-maker Oriental Weavers is targeting a 20% boost in sales in local market within 2015, investor relations manager Ingy El Diwany announced.
According to El Diwany, Oriental Weavers aims to attain the 20% growth in sales through opening up 10 new branches within the current year, in governorates of Cairo, Alexandria and North Delta.
This comes in line with the Egyptian carpet manufacturer’s expansion plan to accommodate for the increase in production capacity after getting 11 new looms within the current February.
Meanwhile, Oriental Weavers’ board have ratified in a recent meeting the plan to inauguration four new branches in Berket El Sabaa, Talla both in Monufia governorate, in addition to Samalut in Menya, and another in Sohag.
The group’s strategy for the next five years encompasses the inauguration of two factories; the first will be by the end of 2017 and the second within 2020.
