Oil prices rise after OPEC+ keeps policy change off agenda

Oil prices rose slightly on Thursday after OPEC+ sources said that the producer group’s meeting left production policy changes off its agenda, Reuters reported.

Brent crude futures were up 67 cents at $81.22 a barrel by 1114 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures gained 66 cents to $76.51.

The Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) reviewed the crude oil production data for the months of November and December 2023, during the 52nd meeting took place via videoconference on Thursday.
