The number of mobile subscribers in Egypt reached 96.5 million in May 2018, decreasing 1.2 million subscribers, according to a report by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
The number of mobile subscribers has registered 97.6 million by the end of April 2018.
Vodafone grabbed the largest share of the market in May, with number of clients declining to 42 million that month, with a decrease of 104,000 subscribers compared to 42.1 million in April 2018, according to data from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
On the other hand, the number of subscribers of Orange dropped from 31.8 million in May 2018 to 32.07 million in April, losing some 67,000 clients in one month.
Furthermore, Etisalat obtained lost clients, declining from 19.9 million clients in May from 20.3 million by the end of April 2018, with 390,000 decrease.
The number of subscribers in WE, the fourth mobile network, has not been enlisted in the data from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
However, the number of clients has reached 2.9 million by the end of the first quarter of 2018 according to the company.
