Ministry Of Industry Allocates Lands For 76 Factories In Badr City

The number of new industrial ventures, which had got lands in the industrial zone in Badr City last fiscal year, amounted to 76 ones on an area of 138.482 cubic meters; under direct allocation decisions from Industrial Development Authority (IDA).  
EGP 277 investments are supposed to be inaugurated on these plots of land in the coming period in numerous productive sectors, the food and chemical industries are the most important. These investments will provide about 4000 direct job opportunities, and indirect thousand ones.
Alaa Al Sakty, chairman of the board of Badr Industrial City Investors Association, told Amwal Al Ghad that the industrial zone in Badr City is ready for receiving more investments, especially after the visit of Hatem Saleh, the minister of industry and foreign trade, which showed more interest in the city. And the investors called on him to provide clinic for the workers, develop Badr City port, which it would bolster the exporting from the city’s factories in the coming periods.
On his part, Tarek El Deeb, Chairman of Golden Construction Company, which has a franchise of operating Badr City Port with POT system, tolde Amwal Al Ghad that the port will fully work in the coming period; this will foster the investors to sign exporting contracts, particularly because the relative decrease of freight cost and following up several Arab commercial countries have trade exchange with Egypt.
