Metlico pays 47 mln pounds to National Bank of Egypt

Egyptian Misr Emirates Takaful Life Insurance (Metlico) said on Sunday it has paid dues worth 47 million Egyptian pounds ($2.9 million) to the National Bank of Egypt (NBE).

Metlico paid 9.6 million pounds to the bank’s ix branches during the period from December 2019 to June 2020 against the dangers of credit facilities and non-payment, according to Metlico’s managing director Ayman El Alfy.

At the end of the last financial year, Metlico posted premiums worth 149 million pounds up from 107 million pounds a year earlier, marking an increase of 42 million pounds, A El Alfy said.
