Metallurgical Industries Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries holds a press conference on Sunday’s afternoon, to reveal the facts, and answer questions related to “Sukari Gold project” and what is said around it.
Mohamed Sayed Hanafy -General Director of the Chamber- said that the last period has seen many questions about “Sukari Gold project”, pointing out that this project is one of the large projects that supplies Egypt with returns going to the public treasury.
The participants in the press conference are: Engineer Khalil Qandil -Head of the Chamber-, geologist Sami Al-Rajhi -Chairman of the global company “Centamin”,Mohamed Abdel Azim -Head of Sukari company for gold mines, and engineer Rafik Abbassi -Head of Gold and Jewelry in the Chamber-.
It is noteworthy that there are many suspicions raised about wasting the wealth in the mine, and the former president, members of his family, and the former Minister’s of oil Sameh Fahmi are accused of signing international agreements with some foreign companies of searching and prospecting for gold, and continuing the operations of these companies in Egypt, despite the expiration of their contracted license.
