McDonald’s denies Egypt market exit rumours

Manfoods – McDonald’s Egypt has denied the reported rumours posted on social media platforms, stressing its continued business in the Egyptian market as a promising market, according to company’s owner Yasseen Mansour said on Friday.

The rumours were about that businessman Mansour, the owner of McDonald’s brand in Egypt is facing a crisis which may have to revoke the right to use the McDonald’s brand.

Mansour added the business is dedicated to giving all of its patrons the greatest fast-food service possible in a way that will satisfy them and strengthen its standing and continuity in the Egyptian market.

While, the company continues to pump investments into Egypt and carries out its activities through more than 170 branches spread across all governorates of Egypt, as it inaugurated new branch on Wednesday at Heliopolis.

McDonald’s helps create more than 8,000 direct jobs and close to 25,000 indirect jobs throughout Egypt, according to the statement.

In 1994, McDonald’s opened its first restaurant in Egypt through Manfoods company which owns the brand in Egypt.
