Malaysia announced it will ban Israel’s shipping company ZIM from docking at any of its ports, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said on Wednesday.

“This restriction is a response to Israel’s actions that violate basic humanitarian principles and international laws,” the PM explained.

Ibrahim also said that the decision will be effective in four weeks time.

This comes in response to the Israeli attacks on Gaza which killed more than 20,000 civilians, around 8,000 of which are children.
