Iraqi, Egyptian oil ministers meet on enhancing joint cooperation

Egyptian Oil Minister  met with his Iraqi counterpart Jabbar al-Luaibi on Friday to discuss means of enhancing mutual cooperation.

During the meeting, El-Molla showcased the potentials of Egyptian oil firms notably Egypt Gas, Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance (EPROM), Oil & Gas Skills (OGS), Sino Tharwa, Egyptian Drilling Company, Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC), Enppi, and Petrojet.

Both ministers agreed on forming a unit by Egyptian and Iraqi oil ministries to follow-up the activities of joint cooperation.

The unit would be responsible for removing any obstacles that may face the mutual cooperation, El-Molla said.

On other side, El-Molla and al-Luaibi agreed that a mission including Egyptian oil firms is set to visit Iraq to discuss means of mutual cooperation.

El-Molla also held bilateral meetings with Kuwaiti oil minister Essam Al Marzooq, Algerian Energy Minister Nouredine Bouterfa,  and Mustafa Suna’a-Allah – Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation.
