Iraqi attaché, Cairo Chamber meet on deepening economic ties

Egypt’s Cairo Chamber of Commerce received Monday Iraq’s Commercial Attaché in Cairo, Haidar Nouri al-Jabr to discuss new means of strengthening bilateral economic ties.

Al-Jabr and chamber’s Vice Chairman Ali Shoukry talked over mechanisms of enhancing mutual trade and investments between Egypt and Iraq within the upcoming period.

During the meeting, Shoukry emphasised on the importance of raising trade exchange between Egypt and Iraq as well as economic relations through arranging mutual visits to recognise needs of both Egyptian and Iraqi markets.

Cairo Commerce Chamber is exerting effort to enhance Egypt’s economic relations with different states in addition to finding suitable communication channels between Egyptian exporters, importers, and manufacturers and their counterparts in different states, the official noted.

On other side, attaché Al-Jabr stated that Egypt is the backbone of the Arab world generally and Iraq in particular, thus, it is necessary to deep the Egyptian-Iraqi economic ties within the coming period.

He invited the Egyptian side to participate in the Business Association Conference that would be held on 26th November in Iraq.

Both sides, suggested forming an Egyptian-Iraqi business council including Egyptian and Iraqi businessmen and traders to discuss corporate problems, identify places of tariffs and mechanism of commodities processes exported to Iraq.
