India has sent about 6.5 tons of medical aid and 32 tons of disaster relief material for the Palestinian people through El Arish airport in Egypt, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi posted on X platform on Sunday.
Bagchi added that the aids include essential life-saving medicines, surgical items, tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, sanitary utilities, water purification tablets among, and other necessary items.
It is worth mentioning that the first 20 trucks carrying aid entered Gaza on Saturday through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt. The Rafah border crossing was closed again after the passage of the trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent.
