The Joint Indian Egyptian Trade Committee discussed mutual work plan to boost rate of trade exchange between the two states to US$8 billion during its 3rd round held Wednesday.
Both Egyptian and Indian sides designed joint programme to overcome the obstacles that face increasing the volume of trade exchange whether those related to customs or not.
The programme aims at facilitating the movement of agricultural exports between India and Egypt .
The committee showcased a suggestion of establishing Indian industrial zone in Egypt since it is Egypt’s seventh largest trade partner and the third important export market for it.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed means of enhancing the participations of the Egyptian firms in the global exhibitions that take place in India in addition to activating the role of the joint business council within the upcoming period.
