Global Finance Magazine has named Egypt’s Central Bank Governor Tarek Amer as one of the top 20 central bank governors in the world for 2020.
Amer won the award for the second consecutive year. He is adding the new award to his repertoire for his efficient governance at the Egyptian central bank.
The Egyptian top banker has earned several similar accolades for his achievements for the national economy.
According to Global Finance, Amer and 20 other top governors who have received the best performance ratings will be honoured at a ceremony in Washington, on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank‘s annual meetings.
The list of honorees includes the governors of the central banks of Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, South Korea, Taiwan, Czech, Georgia, Honduras, Iceland, Paraguay, Russia, Saudi Arabia, United States, and Israel.
