Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Friday that German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has accepted the invitation extended by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to visit Egypt.
Madbouly made the announcement during his visit to Berlin, where he is attending the opening of the World Men’s Handball Championship with Steinmeier, and also meeting with German ministers and business leaders.
Egypt, which is competing in the world event held in Germany and Denmark, will host the upcoming championship in 2021.
Madbouly was accompanied at the opening event with a delegation headed by Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf SobhyMadbouly.
Members of the Egyptian delegation held talks with top sports figures from around the world during the inauguration ceremony.
The Egyptian premier also held several meetings on Friday with the CEOs of key German companies working in the field of solid waste management and recycling.
Madbouly is set to meet with German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz on Friday to discuss joint cooperation.
