Egyptian plastic division at Chamber of Chemical Industries (CCI) agreed with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) upon providing funds to upgrade first plastic institute in Egypt.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Sunday, head of the division Khaled Abou El Makarem stated that the institute is the first one in Egypt and the Middle East specialised in plastic technology field.
Upon the agreement, GIZ is set to send some of German experts to train and boost efficiency of teachers and students within the upcoming period. The German party is also set to bear the costs to mandate the experts in addition to all funds that second party needs to develop the institute .
The head clarified that he held expanded meeting with officials at GIZ to discuss means of improving efficiency of Egyptian labour in plastic sector.
He noted that GIZ is set to amend curriculums of the institute in cooperation with the division to improve graduates’ skills and qualify them to labour market.
In 2016, the institute is to graduate its first class including 38 students. The graduated class is set to get hired immediately in plastic factories and to be sent to Italy to get training course there, Abou El Makarem clarified.
GIZ provides services worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development including economic development and employment, energy and the environment, and peace and security.
