General Motors has pumped total investments of $120 million during the past five years into the Egyptian market, its Chairman Tarek Atta said.
He added during a tour in toured General Motors Factory in Egypt that the company’s capital was estimated at $90 million during 2018.
The Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli toured Tuesday General Motors Factory in Egypt, accompanied by Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar, and Minister of Trade and Industry Nevein Gamea.
Madbouli indicated that the visit to the General Motors Egypt factory comes within the framework of following up the implementation of the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the state to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Atta added that General Motors produced 870,000 vehicles in Egypt, 50 percent of them were produced during the past ten years including pick-ups, buses and small vehicles.
