Egypt-based telecommunications and IT systems integrator, Fiber Misr, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dell Technologies to offer necessary IT solutions that support digital transformation.
The MoU comes in light of the Egyptian gvernment’s keenness to implement ambitious plans and strategies for digital transformation.
Fiber Misr pays special attention to the role of technology and the necessary infrastructure to achieve a digital transformation aimed at building effective, competitive and sustainable communities by enabling a culture of creativity in the work environment, which includes changing the basic components of work, from infrastructure, operating models, and providing integrated technological solutions.
In addition, Dell Technologies is providing a comprehensive suite of IT solutions and basic infrastructure to achieve this digital transformation.
It is worth noting that the ICT sector in Egypt has achieved unprecedented growth over the past period. At the end of the last fiscal year, the government announced official data confirming strong sector growth reaching up to 12.5% for the first time. The ICT sector has also contributed 3.2% to the GDP during the same period.
The signing ceremony was on the side lines of the 23rd edition of Cairo International Communication and Technology Conference (Cairo ICT).
The conference is held on December 1-4 at Al Manara International Conferences Center under the slogan “The Digital Experience.”
