The Egyptian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) signed on Tuesday a new EU-funded framework agreement worth EGP 4 million with the Dakahlia Governorate, to tackle the root causes of irregular migration, according to the Cabinet statement.
The agreement aims to renovate and maintain four health units in various centres within the governorate to improve services povided for approximately 99,000 citizens. The new initiative will create over 5,000 daily jobs for irregular workers.
Previous infrastructure development projects in the Dakahlia Governorate, worth 185.2 million EGP, have created more than 1.4 million daily jobs for the local population.
