The Engineering Export Council of Egypt is aiming at multiplying the exports within five years through implementing a strategic marketing plan, which is being finished, particularly after achieving growth rate in the exports ranged between 20% and 30% annually before the revolution erupted.
Mr. Khaled Ibrahim, Chairperson of the Engineering Export Council of Egypt, has referred to preparing a strategic marketing plan in (Trust Products-Trust Markets) that depends on studying the products with the markets pursuant to the growth rate in export and the relative weight of the product in both of the manufacturing and export, as well as comparing the Egyptian exports with the global exports for these products, more and above selecting the markets according to their volume, growth rate and the facility of entering those markets through the trade agreements.
The exports of the Engineering industry sector went up during the last years from EGP 5 billion to EGP 15 billions, said Mr. Ibrahim; adding that the council’s goal is to expand the base of the companies that export abroad, and to increase the exports of the engineering industries, which take in different 21 sectors.
The number of the export countries in 2012 reached 250 ones; said the chairperson; emphasizing the necessity of increasing the number of the companies and supporting the rest factories.
