El Sewedy Leads Egypt’s EGP5.2bn Exports of Electrical Cables in 2013

Egypt’s exports of electrical cables reached around EGP 5.2 billion during 2013, a 8% decline from EGP 5.2 billion recorded a year earlier.

As pursuant to Egyptian Foreign Trade Sector’s latest data of which Amwal Al Ghad has obtained a copy, Egypt’s exports of engineering sector totaled around EGP 15 billion in 2013.

Meanwhile, Khaled Ibrahim – Chairman of the Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EEC-EG) – noted that cable exports are representing a fundamental part in Egypt’s total engineering exports.

The EEC chairman further noted that the Egyptian leading Wire & Cable and integrated energy solution provider El Sewedy Electric Co. (SWDY.CA) captures more than 50% of Egypt’s total cable exports.
