Egypt’s unemployment rate 9.6% up in Q2 – CAPMAS

Egypt’s unemployment rate increased 9.6 percent during the second quarter of this year from 7.5 percent a year earlier due to the coronavirus (Covid-19), the state statistics agency CAPMAS said on Monday.

The rate recorded 7.7 percent during the January-March 2020 period.
